Skeumorphic buttons

May 29, 2024

While working on the index page for this website, I went down the rabbit hole and studied the work of German designer Dieter Rahms for Braun. To get a feel for his aesthetic, I created some radio buttons inspired by Braun radios like the T1000, as well as modern approaches to the same Bauhaus philosophy, like the radio toggles on Casio synthesizers.

The multip-step button animation was one of the exercises in the Animation on the web course by Emil Kowalski.

The buttons were created in NextJS, Framer Motion and Tailwind CSS.
